First Tall Sips Brew Fest, Odiorne State Park 570Ocean Blvd, Rye, NH

Info taken from Seacoastonline.com RYE - The first Tall Sips Brewfest will be more than just your average beer tasting. It will be fun for all ages.

Hosted by the Piscataqua Maritime Commission, the Tall Sips Brewfest will feature more than 30 breweries serving samples under a single tent. You will also find plenty of food and ice cream, outdoor games, roaming Pirates and much, much more.

Tall Sips will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 26 at the Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye.

Admission for adults, ages 21 and over, is $35. Included in that price are 10 three-ounce samples of the available brews. Those under 21 years of age are free.

This event will benefit two great Seacoast causes. The PMC’s Sail Portsmouth is the region’s annual tall ship festival, this year hosting the Coast Guard Eagle, America’s Tall Ship. The second beneficiary will be Sea Challenge, the PMC program that funds underserved area high school students who enroll in sail training and experiential education programs aboard tall ships. This year, more than 50 teens will go to sea on tall ships to learn sailing and, more importantly, about themselves.

Participating breweries include Von Trapp, Peak Organic, Champlain Orchards Cider, Jacks Abby, Lord Hobo, Berkshire, Merchant du Vin, CBA (Cisco/Kona), Woodland Farms, Concord Craft, 21st Amendment, Global Beer, Smuttynose, Bent Water, Great Rhythm, Two Roads, Tributary, Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams and Beara Brewing.
