Anderson-Gram

AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD AT CDBaby.com or iTunes

Recorded in Roseville, CA 2011, the CD features 6 Anderson-Gram originals and other tunes by some of our favorite artists. Special Guests: Gregg and Diane Goyins on Electric Violin and Keyboards, Leeann and Phil Segrue on bass for a few tracks. Our dear friend, Ruthann (owner of Zographix in Roseville, CA) did this great cover art!

"Love this CD! Gayle's voice is exquisite, as one might expect from past fan-hood experiences, but Bob's lead vocal contributions are also massively good and an unexpected treat on this album. The guitar work is excellent! Very creative, well done and a worthy project well beyond the pale."

~ Dennis Brunnenmeyer, DJ Host of Nevada City Limits, KVMR Radio

Where it All Begins - CD or Download / CDBaby & i Tunes

Anderson-Gram

AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD AT CDBbay.com or iTunes

Recorded in 2001 at Thomas Eaton Recording in Newburyport, MA.

With Special guests: Jake Armerding, John Curtis, Roger Williams, Kent Allyn, Mark LaPointe, Tom Eaton, Jim and Alison Trick.

The CD features 11 Anderson-Gram originals and one song (Give Yourself to Love) by the late Kate Wolf.

“I love finding new music by new artists. Before opening this CD I had never heard of Anderson-Gram. This, the duo's second release, is the pick of the latest crop of CDs.

Where It All Begins caught me from track one and I must admit that while some songs are better than others there was not a single piece that I did not like.

Anderson-Gram reminds me on some tracks of Ian and Sylvia Tyson. ‘Alabama’ is a song where the ‘Tyson sound’ is most noticeable. The song is a hymn to that location and love found there. It’s beautifully written and sung with lines like ‘A little smile, a little tear in his eye/A little love song, sung off key.’

‘This Guitar’ is a tribute to the life of the traveling musician with the initial chorus written from directions given on how to find their next gig.

‘Three Chords & a Cloud of Dust’ is a witty look at the other side of the musician's life. It recounts the tale of the performer playing for tips in a bar, competing with the game on the TV in the corner. How many of those are out there? It contains the immortal lines: ‘He even wrote a song in the summer of 69, though it makes no sense and it's too damn long, God only knows what we were on, still I shout it out every time.’

‘One Dying Breed’ poetically tells the sad tale of the demise of the fishing industry.

Other tracks tackle people who do not fit in, sports heroes with feet of clay and fighting the demons of modern life among others.

The only song by another writer is Kate Wolf’s ‘Give Yourself to Love’ and is a real gem. This is a very personal album but deserves a wide listenership.

Where It All Begins is a fabulous album which, with a spark of luck and good airplay, could be where it all begins big time for Anderson-Gram” ~ Nicky Rossiter, Rambles Cultural Arts Magazine

Anderson-Gram

Anderson-Gram debut CD featuring eleven Anderson-Gram originals and one song (These Times We're Living In) by the late Kate Wolf. Special guests include Kent Allyn, Rick Nelson & Peter Stolper.

"We brought back 102 CD's from the Toronto Folk Alliance Convention. We have listened to every one of them completely, and if I could keep only one it would be Watercolors. If this sounds like I am raving then I guess I am. The vocals are WONDERFUL! The guitar is WONDERFUL. The harmonies are quite simply BREATHTAKING as is the entire album. Your songwriting (and this comes from someone who writes) is most appealing. I just can't say enough about this CD." ~Julie Anne Clark, All Music Guide

"A highly recommended home-grown recording." ~Victory Music Review, Seattle, WA
